IMA Benhil – about the company

Supported by around 140 members of staff, the Neuss-based IMA Benhil GmbH produces dosing and wrapping machines for butter and margarine packaging. IMA Benhil is the market leader in this area. The company has a long history and over 100 years of experience. Globally, more than 2,000 machines produces by the company are in use.

The project

Having left the IMA DAIRY & FOOD Deutschland Holding, the IMA Benhil GmbH needed support with the set up of a new system landscape. This led to process optimizations for the HR software SAP HCM.

STARTING POSITION

The IMA Benhil GmbH used to be part of the IMA DAIRY & FOOD Deutschland Holding, where it was supported by abilis in the SAP HCM area. Due to a restructuring of the IMA DAIRY & FOOD Holding, IMA Benhil left the Holding. Therefore, IMA Benhil needed its own, independent system landscape.

Project start

Through a carve out, the IMA Benhil GmbH was separated from the existing SAP HCM system. At the same time, the outdated staff portal was replaced by SAP ESS / MSS in SAP Fiori. In addition, an interface to the time recording system “dormkaba” was set up. Afterwards, the collaboration with abilis continued in the form of SAP HCM consulting and support.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Besides a test and productive system, an interface for time recording was set up. With SAP Fiori, members of staff can now enjoy a more intuitive user interface. As part of its support services, the abilis team supports with all business and tariff regulations, billing, administration, and other organization management.

FUTURE PLANS

In the future, additional SAP Fiori Apps shall be tailored to the IMA Benhil. The burden on the HR division is set to be reduced and members of staff will be able to manage their data themselves.
