FUCHS PETROLUB SE – about the company
FUCHS is a globally successful corporation that produces products in the lubricant area (e.g. automotive lubricants, industry lubricants, and grease). The corporation is headquartered in Germany and is the largest independent producer in its industry – counting over 10,000 products and around 6,000 members of staff. FUCHS develops and sells its products to over 100,000 customers and serves industries like the automotive industry, machine engineering, agriculture, and the aeronautics and space industry. The corporation offers innovative and tailored solutions to its customers, and emphasizes sustainability, security, and reliability.
The project
To reduce the workload faced by the internal SAP division and assist with the continuous optimization of business processes, FUCHS is being supported by our SAP experts. The company enjoys support on the following SAP matters: 1800 User, ECC (3 systems), GTS (3 systems); APO (3 systems), and BW (2 systems).
STARTING POINT
The internal SAP team at FUCHS was often overloaded with many requests from specialist divisions. Thus, it was not possible for the team to focus on success bringing projects. It was also no longer possible for FUCHS to internally complete projects on the development and simplification of the SAP system. Often, a competent contact partner for the exchange on specific topics or new processes was lacking.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Besides cross-module SAP support (especially in the areas SAP FI, CO, SD (+GTS) and MM), the abilis experts supported custom ABAP developments for the continuous optimization of SAP processes. Whenever more human resources are needed, or with larger projects, the abilis team continues to back up the internal SAP division of FUCHS.
FUTURE PLANS
SAP AddOns by abilis are scheduled – such as for online VAT ID verification. Moreover, additional custom developments will be realized jointly in the future.
