Delivery Hero – about the company
The Berlin-based company Delivery Hero SE is a market-listed operator of ordering and delivery platforms for food and drinks. Among others, Delivery Hero owns the brands “Lieferheld”, “Foodora” and “Pizza.de”. The corporation operates globally and has grown strongly over the last few years. This is also reflected in the world-wide rollout of SAP S/4HANA as the central ERP system of Delivery Hero.
The project
In 2017, Delivery Hero successfully implemented the flowDOCS invoiceLINE for the automated processing of incoming invoices for the two SAP modules FI an MM.
STARTING POSITION
In 2017, Delivery Hero successfully implemented the flowDOCS invoiceLINE for the automated processing of incoming invoices for the two SAP modules FI an MM.
Across the world, several million invoices are issued every day for the services of Delivery Hero as a delivery platform. Due to the enormous number of invoices and the different languages they are in, the company was looking for a solution for the automated and rapid processing of incoming invoices inside SAP. Afterall, processing invoices manually is impossible at the scale of Delivery Hero’s operations.
Project description
Delivery Hero implemented the invoiceLINE for two SAP modules (FI and MM) in 2017. The accounting-related processing of the supplier invoices was carried out in the shared service center in Berlin. We started with two company codes, but the rollout for additional domestic and international associated companies was done in the same year.
Delivery Hero is the only company that operates the invoiceLINE as a certified add-on for S/4HANA on premises with the new SAP S/4HANA system.
InvoiceLINE and SAP Fiori
To make best use of the possibilities of the new S/4 HANA environment, a link between the workflow participants was developed via the user-friendly interfaces of SAP FIORI. The SAP developers of Delivery Hero were supported with this by the flowDOCS Software GmbH.

In line with our company strategy, we also act dynamically and with ambitious goals when it comes to IT projects. As one of the first SAP customers, we use SAP S/4HANA 1909FPS00 in our productive environment. Of course, this is only possible if the employed SAP add-ons are also up to date. The invoiceLINE system by the flowDOCS Software GmbH is certified for SAP S/4HANA 1909. This means that we can optimally shape our purchase-to-pay processes, and are set for the future. We are very satisfied with the flowDOCS Software GmbH and its SAP know how.
